The older brother of Wallace Beery, Noah Beery was best known for his roles as the villain or heavy in many films of the silent era such as "The Mark of Zorro," "The Sea Wolf" (both 1920), Wild Horse Mesa, The Coming of Amos (both 1925), "Beau Geste" and "Padlocked" (both 1926), "Noah's Ark" (1929), and "Riders of the Purple Sage" (1931) to name a few.
