Vintage "Elmer the Doughboy" Grass Growing Head blue lamp TA - 104623 - 061941; Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Company, Roseville, OH. Vintage ceramic planter in the shape of a figural GI head. This piece was an early Chia Pet style grass grower manufactured in Ohio 36 years before actual Chia Pets were released. It features the same grooved lines on the head, however these early versions were made of natural clay instead of the now popular terracotta. This piece exhibits some fading and wear due to age, but the grooves remain
