1929 Print John Nelligan Logger Pioneer Wisconsin Tree ORIGINAL HISTORIC WIS1 HB2 Photography by KlauerThis is an original 1929 halftone print of John E. Nelligan a pioneer logger who was a part of Nelligan & Flannigan. The duo was famous in the upper parts of Wisconsin and Michigan and stripped the area of its pine trees. The lumber industry controlled much of the northern part of the state during the middle of the 1800s. Heavy deforestation led the state to transfer to dairy production to make better use of their land. CONDITION This 82+ year old
