Queens South Africa medal. Simpson. West Riding Regiment. #sherborne 16/03/1918Queen's South Africa 1899 1902, 1 clasp, Cape Colony Impressed to 3366 Pte. C. Simpson, W. Riding Regt. Light contact marks, good very fine. Charles Simpson served with the 3rd Battalion. There is a note on his record in 1899 that he was "Reported as Deserter or Absentee who has rejoined & not to be Apprehended." Includes copied medal roll showing his entitlement to the clasp, and also a Kings South Africa medal with 2 clasps.
