Alken and engraved by T. Sutherland. In the image, Mr. Thornhill's Chesnut ColtSam, beating Lord Darlington's Grey, and Sir John Shelly's Prince Paul for the Derby Stakes, May 28th, 1818. This sporting collection of tipped in color prints employed a Blackmore Tintex Printing technique, which, at the time, served as a
