The painting and roughness of the clay surface make it feel even older

but with its solid black ground also looks really sharp against crisp white bedding

this frog would be great perched on a shelf or sitting on a desk keeping an eye on things

I am not quite sure what purpose it might have had other than to serve as a decorative souvenir

Coney Island Vintage Handkerchief Box with Waterskier Philadelphia Titled “A Pregnant WomanI just adore the painted water skiing woman on this vintage handkerchief box, a souvenir from Coney Island circa 1950s. Constructed of leather covered cardboard with a red fabric lining, it's definitely seen some use, but I think is all the better for it. If no longer for handkerchiefs, I think it would be terrific for holding love letters, or else an assortment of trinkets collected on various travels. The box measures 5 3 4 square and 1 5 8" tall.
