It looks to me that our woman in magenta and orange is potting or tending to a plant
otherwise both are in excellent condition
Doubly Lovely: Victorian Tinsel Painting of Flowers in Original Shell Decorated Frame from Bristol, Maine hand-painted platter and think the imagery onI found this one in southern Maine this week and it is PERFECT. (Photos might suggest it is very small, but it is in fact quite substantial, and heavy, and feels very much an object with that really excellent seashell frame, shells on solid wood, with gold painted sides.) I do believe the frame is original to the tinsel reverse glass painting, all in beautiful condition, without a shell missing. And I have to say this is about as elegant a tinsel
