There is one split toward to bottom of the slide top lid and another on the bottom of the box but it remains very sturdy and sound
You can see that the area around the top of his shirt and right arm shows loss and is quite fragile

Made of brass I believe, with a bright gold toned surface on one side and silver on the other, with decorative embossed patten on the brass of the hook.
