This helmet is a fine example and still retains all of its original Vietnam War parts and the shell has the original OD Green finish on the interior and exterior of the helmet

Most of these men had been previously been captured during the course of the Western Desert Campaign in North Africa

These look as if they were worn by ALLADIN but we are assured that is NOT the case. These, often known as CONQUISTADOR STIRRUPS, date to the late 17th century and are known to have been in the HAHN family of Pomerania and Mecklenburg in that they displays the family Coat of arms. This takes the form of a ROOSTER, which in German is a HAHN. Made of heavy brass, we suspect these were full shoe accommodating stirrups
