This is a vey worn M1902 Campaign hat identified to John H. Wagner of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The campaign hat bears a yellow hat cord indicating use by Cavalry. The hat is heavily mother with damage across the exterior and interior. The M1902 campaign hat is noted for its two rows of stitching and star shaped vents on both sides. The sweatband of the hat is very well retained, and is perforated with the initials JHW.
