Antique Magic Lantern Slide Mechanical Kaleidoscope jack I found a near twin

I found a near twin of this piece sold online

While I am uncertain of its maker or its age

I'd think it has well over a hundred years on it but remains in fine structural shape

painted fabulous bright colors (painted on both sides)

It would be lovely at the center of the dinner table

Antique Magic Lantern Slide Mechanical Kaleidoscope jack I found a near twinI've always found kaleidoscopes pretty magical, and even better one's you don't have to look through a scope to see. Turning the handle here rotates one of two colorful round glass slides, making kaleidoscopic patterns as it shifts in relation to the static one. Just a lovely thing, especially great set near a window to hold to the light for optimal viewing. Overall: 7 3 4" long including handle. Kaleidoscope glass is 1 3 4" in diameter. Very good
