Germany, Heer. A Heer M40 Steel Helmet With Camouflage Cover Auction A 1939 Hitler Youth/Hitlerjugend (HJ)(M40 Stahlhelm mit Stahlhelmberzge). This is an extremely well preserved Heer M40 steel helmet, constructed of grey painted magnetic molybdenum steel. The helmet is flanked on each side by integrated stamped air vents, as well as two rivets holding in place the interior liner, with an additional liner rivet at the reverse. The rim of the helmet is fully crimped, being rolled into the interior. The interior is fully surrounded by a silvered zink frame
